Ladies Bible Study
The focus of the Ladies Bible Study is to equip ladies to study the
Bible, to grow in their knowledge of God and His Word, and to apply God's Word
to their lives. The Bible study leader's
goal is to encourage God glorifying discussion as the ladies share what they
are learning in the material. Their desire is to focus on giving God the glory
and to keep Him at the center of each discussion.
Bible studies are currently meeting the SECOND week of each month from September through April. Join us as we meet together on Tuesday 7pm or Friday 10am while we study through the book of Colossians.
Open my
eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.

Past Conferences: True Woman 2010, 2012, and 2014
Hear, O
women, the word of the Lord, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; Thus
says the Lord: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the
mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but
let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am
the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these things I delight, declares the Lord."
(Jeremiah
9:20a, 23-24)
CARE Ministry
As Christians, we are all called
to obedience and compelled to serve!
The focus of the CARE ministry is primarily to encourage widows to serve
and grow in the Lord in the capacity that they can be praying for the needs at
our church, encouraging the younger ladies, making reminder phone calls, and
involving themselves in new and current ministries at Calvary Baptist. The CARE ministry is also responsible for
organizing funeral dinners at our church and sending sympathy cards and small
gifts to those in our congregation who have recently lost a loved one.
As each has
received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s grace:
whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who
serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be
glorified through Jesus Christ.
(1 Peter
4:10-11)
